PPM School of Management’s Visit to Embassy of Malaysia Paves the Way for a Broader Academic Partnership

Jakarta – On September 4, 2025, a delegation from the PPM School of Management visited the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta to discuss opportunities for a broader and more comprehensive academic partnership. The visit solidified PPM School’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the Asia-Pacific region by expanding its network of academic and research collaborations.

The PPM School delegation included Erlinda Nusron Yunus, Ph.D. (Vice Dean of Academic Affairs), Dr. Firdaus Basbeth (Head of Research Centre and Case Clearing House), and Anindhita Dewi Nariswari (Manager of External Affairs). They were warmly received by Embassy of Malaysia officials, including Dr. Hasnul Faizal Hushin Amri (Minister Counsellor, Education), Zulfadhli bin Hamzah (Education Attache), Shafiza Binti MD Fadzil (Counsellor, Education), and Eti Rahmayati (Promotion Officer, Education Malaysia).

The visit served as a platform to discuss a range of strategic collaborations with Malaysian higher education institutions. The primary goal was to strengthen existing ties and explore new avenues for partnership, including:

  1. Academic Collaboration: Establishing new student and faculty exchange programs to facilitate cross-cultural learning and knowledge transfer.
  2. Research Partnership: Initiating joint research projects to advance management science and tackle shared challenges.
  3. Co-hosting the APMRC 2026: Exploring the potential for a Malaysian higher education institution to co-host the prestigious Asia-Pacific Management Research Conference (APMRC) in 2026.

The discussions were highly productive, with both sides expressing a strong desire for a comprehensive and enduring partnership. The Embassy of Malaysia officials voiced their full support for PPM School’s initiatives and are eager to facilitate connections with relevant universities in Malaysia. This positive outcome lays the groundwork for a new chapter of collaboration, reinforcing PPM School of Management’s vision to be a key player in management education and research across Southeast Asia.
