APMMI National Webinar Explores the Strategic Role of General Insurance in Business Resilience

On Saturday, 11 July 2026, the Alliance of Indonesian Master of Management Programs (APMMI), in collaboration with BRI Insurance, held a National Webinar entitled “The Strategic Role of General Insurance in Risk Mitigation and Protection for Business and Non-Business Sectors.” The session brought together Master of Management students and faculty from APMMI member institutions across the country, including PPM School, with Ms. Eka Indria Sari, Executive Vice President of Business Development at PT BRI Asuransi Indonesia, as keynote speaker.

The webinar was officially opened by Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., Chairman of APMMI, who emphasized the importance of strengthening financial literacy and risk management capabilities among future business leaders. Prof. Rofikoh Rokhim, Ph.D., moderated the session and facilitated an engaging dialogue between the speaker and participants.

During the session, participants explored the evolving role of general insurance as a strategic instrument for managing uncertainty in both commercial and personal contexts. Ms. Eka highlighted that insurance should no longer be perceived merely as an operational expense, but rather as a long-term investment that safeguards assets, ensures business continuity, strengthens financial resilience, and supports sustainable economic growth.

The presentation also introduced a range of general insurance products, including property, business interruption, marine cargo, liability, engineering, cyber, travel, motor vehicle, home, and personal accident insurance, illustrating how each addresses different risk exposures faced by businesses and individuals in an increasingly complex environment.

The webinar concluded by reinforcing the message that cultivating a strong risk awareness culture is fundamental to organizational resilience and national economic stability. Through practical examples and real-world case studies, participants gained insights into risk transfer mechanisms, cost-benefit considerations, and the strategic role of insurance in protecting cash flow, preserving capital, and maintaining operational continuity.
